Orlandos Oddities

I'm not actually allowed to say too much about this even in my supporting document. Two main reasons for this, one, this blog is technically a public article, and two, I want to protect the privacy of these survivors and bereaved family members more than ever.  I can say this is one of those opportunities you get and cannot even dream of turning it down. Besides it being my first gig as a paid artist, it is also just an amazing opportunity. I am a printer who has thought long and hard about creating artworks around the tower and what it means to residents. It makes me so proud to have been able to work with these amazing humans to create artwork they are proud of.  I cannot show any faces or works, or even say much of what it was about in detail, but I am incredibly proud to have helped them to create, in a safe space. As is the nature of screen-printing and the format of the workshop, we had to keep ink wet through the screen so in between people arriving it wouldn't dry out....
